What Can Dilbert Teach You About Mahi Money?
How Anyone Can Get Started Making Serious Money Today With Amazon Arbitrage
Free Post - As someone who spent a lot of time dreaming of making extra money online, this one is personal. Selling old textbooks on Amazon was the gateway to realizing that literally anyone can make money online. If you haven’t started a second income, or want another income to stack that is actually super scalable, this is the post you need to read.
Scott Adams.
You may know him as the Dilbert Guy (Dilbert being the kinda funny kinda poorly drawn cartoon strip about corporate life)
You may know him as the guy who got Simped into raising the kids of and giving 1/2 his wealth to a girl half his age.
You may know him as the twitter guy who constantly claims everyone misunderstands how nuanced and brilliant his posts are and interpret them wrong.
Maybe it is that he is a hypnotist who called the Trump win early.
Or you may know him as the author of popular books like
How to Fail at almost Everything and Still Win Big
Reframe Your Brain
God’s Debris
Win Bigly
The Dilbert Principals
Loserthink
And More
Whatever your opinion of him, you can’t deny he is absolutely prolific writer and puts out a massive amount of content between his books, cartoon strips, tweets, blogposts and videos.
He has talked about his secret method of getting so many projects accomplished. No matter what he is working on, he always follows the same process:
Sit down and turn on his computer
Opens a word document
Writes the working title for the current project (not even the final one, just the first draft title).
Saves the file, closes the computer and gets up & walks away.
Every. Single. Time.
Why the seemingly bizarre ritual? He credits it with helping get over the biggest hurdle to any project…Starting.
After doing this ritual, he has removed one of the biggest impediments to success - giving your self the permission to start. Too often we build mental barriers that prevent us from doing the most important thing, which is making a decision and starting.
What does this have to do with Amazon & Mahi?
Well how long have you been thinking about making more money?
Or how your finances aren’t where they ought to be?
Or the time you have been waiting to start a side income/business?
Heck, just finding something meaningful to do in your free time?
Amazon arbitrage is a simple way to make more money. And Mahi has by far the most user-friendly material to get you started, scaled, and bringing home real $$
What Is Amazon Arbitrage?
If you are new to Amazon arbitrage, it is a tried and true way to make some money. You buy items at one low price, send them to an Amazon warehouse, and sell it to Amazon customers at a higher price. And you keep the difference (after paying a portion to Amazon).
It seems silly, and you may be asking ‘why does this opportunity exist?’
Basically people are lazy and impatient. They have Amazon Prime. They do most of their shopping by going into the Amazon App. They want their purchase here in 24 hours.
They aren’t going to shop around to see if there are lower prices for the items at Walmart, Target, CostCo, Etc.
And they don’t want to wait a week to get the item.
Because of that, you have the opportunity to profit.
“People want convenience - and their impatience is your profit”
In short, you are arbitraging your time indifference and ingenuity to earn income.
You can order an item, wait a week for it to come, and put on Amazon for next day shipping = time indifference
You are buying in large quantities, so it is worth it to source the cheapest price.
The result, is you win. Mahi has sold over 7-figures of items. He is making over the median annual income just from his side arbitrage business.
Starting a WiFi Money Business Is Too Expensive, Right?
Wrong.
There is a reason Amazon arbitrage is popular for beginners - there is almost no start-up costs.
And you don’t need to find overseas suppliers.
And you don’t need to create a product.
Or market it.
Or build a website & learn search engine optimization (SEO)
Or literally any of the things that have kept you from starting an ecom store.
Amazon handles the website. Amazon markets their site. Amazon ranks for Google. Amazon has buyers lined up.
You get all the benefit of wifi money, without the huge learning curve and start-up costs of an ecom store.
I have tried both spinning up an ecom store and Amazon arbitrage…Amazon selling is significantly easier
I made more with a couple days work on Amazon than I made over 6 months on an ecom site.
For a basic ecom site you have to:
Come up with an idea
Test the interest
Sample manufacturers and find one - probably overseas like in China
Get a product made
Figure out Shopify or a ecom website
Design a store page & setting all the customizations
Write dozens of posts to try to rank in search engines for organic traffic
Set up a FB ad account and learn how to make ads
Spy on competitor ads to improve your conversions
Build upsells, cross-sells, abandoned carts to try to have your AOV cover your Ad spend
Find a distributor to ship your goods or ship yourself
Deal with returns and customers
etc etc etc
Each one of those is a major task. Figuring it out can be worth while and building a successful ecom business is extremely profitable. But it isn’t something you can start making money on immediately.
For Amazon sales you have to:
Get an Amazon seller’s account
Send in items and set a price
Simpler.
You are buying products people want, letting Amazon handle the logistics, have a built in marketplace (200million Amazon Prime customers coming to the site your product is on).
What’s The Catch?
There is always a catch, right?
First, you can’t just go to Walmart, start buying items and trying to sell them. You need to find products that you can sell at a profit.
There are ways to consistently source profitable products (luckily). But it can take a while to learn the ins and outs on your own.
Second, Amazon only wants trustworthy sellers - so you need to prove your a trustworthy seller before Amazon opens up different categories for you to sell in. You need to know how to ‘un-gate’ these different product categories to expand your return potential.
Third, you need to ship in the products to an Amazon warehouse so they get stored, entered into the Amazon store, and ultimately sold. Amazon is sending an obscene amount of packages out, and they are strict with how items need to be sent. Seems like it’d be easy? But when I tried to read the Amazon documents and do this myself it took an absurd amount of time.
Fourth, an lastly, how to actually run your Amazon reselling business like a business - this includes driving down expenses, driving up sales, and tracking all your profits.
If you can find a way to get cheaper packaging and add 1% to your margin, that can be huge. Those little tricks can add 10-20% higher PROFITS to your bottom line.
And let’s face it, you aren’t able to scale indefinitely as a 1 person shop - there is only so much time in the day to source, buy, package, and ship - and Mahi’s course shows you how to bring on VAs to help do the mundane once you get the business rocking.
I tried to figure out Amazon reselling before finding Mahi, and the information out there is either expensive, out-dated, or confusing. It is not easy and you can spend days trying to figure out what to do.
Luckily, you don’t need to muddle along trying to figure out all of it on your own. Mahi put together the most comprehensive material on Amazon reselling around.
Once you buy the course, you get:
60 videos making up over 6 hours of content
A collection of documents including spreadsheet templates, and resources for hiring a virtual assistant (VA)
Free upgrades when the course is updated with new information
Access to a private discord group where you get group coaching calls once a week
More Social Proof You Say?
I’m sure many of you follow BTBroke and know his story:
F500 Executive
Started Amazon Reselling
Went bankrupt in RE, but was able to get back in due to Amazon business
Made huge money in RE
Well, he shared a little screenshot from his Seller’s dashboard for a few SKUs 2/3rds through the year to dunk on a midwit…err…disspell the myth that you can’t have juicy margins and big profits from re-selling.
In case you cant read the numbers, ( and note, Broke started Amazon Arbitrage a decade ago so he has had time to grow) casually showing a $1.6 million profit on only a handful of SKUs.
And Broke isn’t taping carboard boxes together. He has built a business with employees handling his day to day.
Wrapping Up
Long-time readers know that this substack preaches making more money is always financially beneficial. If you still haven’t got a second income then, like Scott Adams advises, you just need to start.
Amazon reselling has the lowest barrier to starting to see a profit. And I 100% think Mahi’s course is top tier to save you 100s of hours of trial and error and start making money today.
Can confirm. You can definitely ease into it - the cost of seriously starting is less than $100/month. $40 for Amazon and roughly $50 for two key sourcing softwares. Add in 1-2 medium boxes from HD to send the stuff into Amazon and your first month's fixed costs are covered. After that it's (profitable) inventory costs.
Getting started you can very realistically target 20% margin, so you're looking at needing to sell $500 worth of stuff to cover your $100 costs.
Don't waste the long weekend, anon. Snag Mahi's course and open a new path to wifi money.
